Le Petie - December

Ok let me be honest, I was not looking forward to making this months project. I thought about not doing this one at all but when I started this I wanted to complete all the projects so I decided to going through with this one. The project did not get off to a great start, once I finally got the fabric in my sewing machine broke. I had to wait for my new machine to come in and I really didn't know if I was going to be able to get this project done. Once I got started on this project I fell in love with it and it came together so quickly! I think that the fabrics help a lot because I love the retro Christmas look, but overall this was a lot of fun to make and I think that my MIL is going to want one of these next year. Here is my prairie point Christmas, this was made with a mix of sparkle all the way and groove by Robert Kaufman.

Le Petite November

For November's Le Petite project was butter churn a pattern by Sherri Falls of This & That. I made mine using a Happy charm pack and some Kona white. I ordered some additional fabric from this line to make this quilt a little bigger (this is way to small for my taste). I have order pink polka-dots and one of the purple prints from this line to hopefully make it big enough to be a baby quilt. Of course I waited and waited to order it and by the time that I did order the fabric it was to late (the fabric is going to be delivered tomorrow...). Again I had a lot of fun making this small project, they are very satisfying since they can be finished in an afternoon. I can't wait to see everyone else has made and see what is up for December.

Layer Cake Quilt Along : block 1

Lately I have been wanting to get more involved with the Internet community and I thought that this layer cake quilt along would be the perfect opportunity. So I have been in love with Bliss and I have been wanting to cut  in this layer cake so bad. Here is my Alabama Spinning block, hope you like it. I can't wait to see everyone's blocks looks like!

Stash Report 11-14 (on the 11-15)

In: 20 3/4 yards

I couldn't help myself above all fabric was having a great sale! I got 4 1/2 yards for backing for my make life... quilt, but the rest of it is just fun stuff that I like.

Out : 5 1/4 yards

This is a fig tree quilt pattern made with 3 tweet tweet charm packs and 2 1/4 yard kona chartreuse. I have the first two blocks finished. At first I wasn't sure if I liked the green for backing, but I really like the way that it is turning out. It's nice using something other than white as the back ground, I think I will be doing this more often.

Totals :
In: 20 3/4 yards
Out : 5 1/4 yards
YTD : + 14 3/4 yards

This week isn't going to be good either I found another good sale and Pairsville is out now... I should have a lot going out because I have to get a lot of projects finished this week. Keep your fingers crossed that I am able to get everything done by Thanksgiving.

Le Petite...a year of small projects

I hope that I can be included in the parade even though mine is completely done. I made version 4 of Paganini out of it's a hoot by Momo and a little Kona white. I was hoping that the yardage was going to out so I could have this completely finished, but I had no such luck. So here is here is mine minus the borders.
On a side note this is the second Schnibble that I have made and I am in love with these patterns! They are so much fun to make. I am in the process of finishing up my third one Imagine made out of fruitcake. This was a fun project and I can't wait for next months project.

Sunday Stash Report

In this week... nothing

Out this week
1 Origins jelly roll to make the blocks for slushie from Baker's Dozen. I need to order the yardage to finish the quilt, but I have the major blocks finished.
Two fruitcake charm packs and 3/4 yard of white snowflakes for backing. This is going to imagine from Miss Rosie's Schnibbles times two. I have finished the blocks and and hopefully by the end of the day I will have all of the rows sewed together.

I'm back...

I know it has been awhile since I have posted anything, but I have decided that I want to get back into updating my blog. I have been wanting to become more involved with the others in the quilting community and doing this through the Internet will be the best avenue for me to do so. There will be more to come from me this long weekend, but I thought that I would leave you with a picture.

This is an up close shot of the quilting on the quilt that I made for my mom last year for her birthday.
